What was the client looking for?

ENGIE aimed to create an innovative and sustainable workspace that celebrated the concept of energy in all its forms. The design needed to prioritise environmentally conscious materials and solutions and provide a functional, inspiring environment that fosters collaboration, supports employee well-being and reflects ENGIE’s commitment to sustainability.

Scope of what was delivered

Building Interiors transformed ENGIE’s office with a design-led approach that included dynamic desking areas, meeting rooms, agile spaces, collaboration zones, and ‘The Energy Exchange’ for presentations and downtime. The project also featured a welcoming reception area, a well-being room for relaxation, bespoke elements like wind turbine-inspired acoustics, rippled surfaces in the reception to symbolise hydro energy, and furniture crafted from recycled materials.

How building Interiors delivered what the client needed

Building Interiors brought ENGIE’s vision to life by seamlessly integrating design elements that represent energy sources with environmentally conscious practices. Sustainable fabrics made from ocean waste and furniture crafted from recycled plastic bottles showcased a commitment to innovation and eco-responsibility. By focusing on functionality and employee wellbeing, the team created a workspace that balances creativity, collaboration, and calm. The result is an office that not only embodies ENGIE’s values but also sets a new standard for sustainable design.
